  1. Pre-Treat Fabric
    HOT water and NO dryer sheets or fabric softener. The pre-wash removes the finishes and other chemicals the manufacturer puts in the fabrics before selling. Use the long cycle on your machine and then throw fabric into dryer to shrink it up

  3. Wash hands thoroughly before and after touching any materials
  4. Disinfect finished product by running through washer/dryer
  5. Put in clearly marked and sanitized Ziploc Bag

Distributing a Mask:

  1. Disinfect Cloth masks by running through washer/dryer
  2. Wash hands thoroughly
  3. Place masks in bag 
  4. Wipe off Ziploc bag & mark recipient name and “sterilized’ on bag. 
  5. Place the mask bag in the designated pick-up area.  Stay 6+ metres away or behind a door or closed window while bag is being picked up
  6. Person picking up should also wipe down and sterilize before retrieving masks

IF YOU DO NOT HAVE A WASHER/DRYER TO SANITIZE, YOU MUST LET THE RECIPIENT KNOW THAT THEY NEED TO SANITIZE THE MASKS THEMSELVES. PUT MASKS IN ZIPLOC AND WRITE “NEEDS TO BE SANITIZED”. AS BEST PRACTICE ALL MASK RECIPIENTS SHOULD TRY TO SANITIZE MASKS ANYWAYS
